Take 5 with... Anna Bojko from Jungleholic!

Green events are popping up all over the globe, and this time, we are chatting with an entrepreneur behind the Polish trade show inspired by nature and travels! Meet Anna Bojko from JUNGLEHOLIC and find out more about her pioneering project!

1. Tell us a bit about yourself, where are you from, where are you based and what about this place makes it special and makes you stay?
I am from Toruń, Poland and I am living in the Beskids right now. I enjoy exploring my hometown with activities like trekking the mountains in the summer and snowboarding in the winter but I can feel that my next home will be near the ocean because I have a deep love for the waves, sand and water.

2. What's important to you, and how do these values affect your professional choices?
I care deeply about nature and animals. Simple life and happiness are also what defines my professional and personal choices.

3. Tell us about Jungleholic - how and why did it start?
In 2018, when I learned about another extinct animal species, I was simply overwhelmed by the pressing environmental situation. I wanted to do something more, but I felt helpless with the magnitude of the problem.
At the same time, some of my friends were asking me, because of my interest and my experience as an interior designer, why I am not doing a trade fair when I was looking a new project to express myself. I visited many, but was not close to start one on my own. I liked the idea but I didn't want to make another expo with themes that already existed. So after a long and sleepless night, the idea of Tropical interiors and design expo Jungleholic came to me. I knew it is all that I want to share with others who love design, travels, and nature as much as I do. So when you asked me before about values – Jungleholic shows them all: celebration for exploring the world with respect for Mother Nature. Surprisingly, I almost didn’t go through with this plan but at the end of the year, I was swimming with a dolphin in the Red Sea and this unordinary experience somehow gave me extra power to make it happen.

4. We know it's hard, BUT! Can you highlight a few brands from the fair and tell us why they are your top picks.
This is the hardest question so far because every member of Jungleholic family is great to tell about and I am glad that I had the opportunity to meet them all at the Tropical Interiors Expo. For me it is just important to highlight how many companies have been involved in extra projects during Jungleholic, in order to help the world’s endangered species and set an example for conservation, either collectively or through a campaign, donate to an organization like The Ellen Fund.
Bykumejka made a special set of jewelry with Gorillas, illustrator Nadia Kubiak made 'Jungleholic Gorilla' posters that both helped raise awareness and collect donations to save the gorillas. Furthermore, Cottonganic, Botap, Hello bottle, Ekoloco, and more brands showcased products that simply are made with the mission to help the planet. Dutchhouse, Baranga, Table4u, Wave/wood, Hadaki, MUAStudios, Brevka art provided amazing interior design products which give you the never-ending summer vibes. APANA mochilas brought bags from the most endangered ethnic tribes in Colombia. Our partners, BoardThing recycle broken skateboards and transform them into unique products. Oaza-Palmy, a company that works with bamboos or Grow Raw with their cacti and concrete pots. Oto Studio, Luna moon, Made by Poly are brands that will help you with the best beach outfits ever! Tropical vibes were everywhere, Hawaiian Aroha bowls or exotic flavors from The Nature Pressed Juices. There is no end of tropical love from all these brands and we hope everyone will check them out on our fan page where we focus to show their values!

5. Who are your personal heroes and why?
There are so many people who inspire me like Angelina Jolie, Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, entrepreneurs like a Jessica Alba and her Honest Company. I look up to athletes as Novak Djokovic, or the motivational speaker Anthony Robbins and much to my friends, family and myself :)

6. What other interesting projects are you working on?
Creating new ideas is part of my personality, so something new will come, for now, I am focused on second edition of Jungleholic trade fair and my daily work in my creative agency.

The second edition of Jungleholic fair will take place on December 7th, 2019 in Warsaw, Poland.
