MIMYCRI RECYCLED RUBBER BOATS BACKPACKS.JPG

MIMYCRI

WHAT DO THEY DO?

The founders of Mimycri have a long experience volunteering with welcoming people arriving at the shores of Greece from conflicted zones to seek asylum. This activity inspired them to establish a social non-profit organisation first, and then an accessories brand to relieve the waste problem. Mimycri recycles rubber boats that would otherwise stay on beaches as trash or get discarded.

WHY ARE THEY IN WOMB?

The brand practices incredible recycling activity, creatively reclaiming material that couldn’t be used for much more than what it was created for. Seemingly useless, the rubber is extremely sturdy and, therefore, makes amazing bags and backpacks.

The company also makes sure to involve people who migrated to Germany from conflicted zones into their vibrant team and to a high degree relies on their skills and expertise.
